What’s A Bucket List

A bucket list is simply said – a list of things you want to do.

Let’s be honest – there are so so many things we want to do but never get around to. Having a bucket list can help you to actually accomplish all the things you want to do.

You can create a bucket list for a year, like 20 things in 2020, for life (I think that’s just called a bucket list), or per season, like for example a Fall bucket list. Or a Spring bucket list like we are talking about today. Hehe.

Why would you create a bucket list for a season, you say? Easy! Each season is unique and has its own activities you can enjoy only during that specific time.

But it’s so easy to forget about the things you enjoy doing during the season, like apple picking in Fall or snowboarding in winter. Life gets on the way.

So a while ago, I decided to create a bucket list for each season so I always enjoy all the amazing things I can and thank the nature around me for changing.

How To Create A Bucket List

Ok, let’s say I convinced you to create a cute little bucket list spread in your Bullet Journal. Here are some tips on how to approach this task and create a perfect bucket list for you.

Think Of What You Want To Do

Try to come up with things you usually enjoy doing during spring. Think all the way back to when you were a kid.

Maybe even talk to your friends and family – there might be some amazing activities you forgot about or maybe never even knew existed. Your bucket list is a fun place to store new ideas to try.

Try To Add Variety

Try to compile a list of different activities. Cooking, traveling, reading – try to vary in what you add to your list so it’s a bit more fun.

That way, you’ll also end up having different types of activities, some requiring more effort and time, some you can do simply in half an hour. So you have a wide variety to choose from depending on your situation.

Move Your Favorite Activities To The Top Of Your List

There will probably be a lot of things on your list, and not enough time to do it all.

So maybe choose a few favorite things that you definitely want to do and add them to the top of your list.

Create A Plan And Follow It

Now that you have tons of ideas and you have your favorite ones it’s time to make your list come true.

Think of how you can fit these activities into your life. When can you find time for it, what do you need to prepare to enjoy these?

Once you have your plan, it’s time to stick to it and follow through with all your preparations.

Have Fun

The most important thing about creating your list is having fun with it! Don’t turn it into a chore or an obligation.

This is a fun way to bring more variety to your free time.

Spring Bucket List Ideas

Not sure what to start your Spring list with? I got you covered with these ideas. I hope they get your creative thinking going, and you’ll come up with a fantastic list of fun activities you will enjoy a lot this season.

  • Open windows and let the fresh Spring air in

Spring brings with it fresh air that smells of rebirth and new beginnings. Let some into your house and see everything feeling better.

  • Go on a hike

Spring is a great hiking time, it’s not too hot, and nature is waking up and probably looks its best!

  • Enjoy April showers with some puddle hopping

I remember I loved doing it as a kid! So why not bring this joy back – wear your cute rubber boots and let’s remember when we were 5!

  • Read a book outside in the sunshine

Reading outside with a blanket and a cup of hot coffee sounds like such a wonderful time, especially in spring when you can also hear the birds chirping.

  • Visit a botanical garden

Flowers are at their best in spring – so fresh, full of life, and beautiful. Take some time to visit botanical gardens and enjoy the beauty of nature.

  • Decorate your driveway with some fun chalk art

Again I’m thinking of childhood and how much fun we had every Spring when the pavement was cleared from snow and we could finally enjoy all the bright colored chalks. Just go for it and have fun drawing whatever it is you like.

  • Visit a National Park

I always say how amazing nature is in Spring, so it might also be the perfect time of the year to visit a National park and see firsthand the beautiful change nature goes through this season,

  • Have a picnic at the park

Eating in the fresh air always feels more delicious, plus it’s a little adventure and can also be pretty romantic.

  • See cherry blossoms

The most spring thing of them all is cherry blossoms. Even if you can’t go and enjoy it in Japan with all the aesthetics that come with it, you can still find some beautiful cherry blossoms in your area and enjoy their beauty just as much.

  • Visit the Farmer’s Market

Usually, after the cold winter months, the Farmer’s Market comes alive in Spring, so don’t forget to visit one and enjoy some fresh and delicious produce.

  • Grow a new plant from a seed

Doesn’t this sound like a fun idea to try? Use seeds from some of your favorite plants and try to grow one at home. Usually, citrus ones do better, so try a lemon or maybe an avocado. It will be so satisfying to see them grow!

  • Fly a kite

Grab a kite and go to the nearest park to have fun and a calm afternoon flying one. I bet this is not something you usually do so it might be a newfound hobby for you.

  • Go on a bike ride

Streets are finally cleaned of snow and the weather gets warmer, so pump the wheels of your bike and go for a ride!

  • Try bird watching

This sounds like a very relaxing and even meditative activity. With birds coming back from the south, building their nests, and starting families it’s a perfect time to bird watch.

  • Visit a local festival

Spring is also the best time to attend festivals. Walk in the good weather, have some delicious food, and enjoy music or art.

  • Search for four-leaf clover

One of my favorite things to do is being close to nature. As somebody who has spent most of their lives in big cities, I always find little nature moments extra precious. You can add more fun to your time with nature by trying to find that evasive four-leafed clover.

  • Decorate eggs

For me, decorating eggs is always a fun spring activity. When I was a kid, all we could do was coloring them with onions, but now there are so many amazing food coloring you can create little art pieces on your eggs – such fun!

  • Start your BBQ season

Spring with its first warm days is the perfect time to start your BBQ season. In Russia -where I’m from- it’s always the first day of May when everyone would go to the countryside houses for the first BBQ of the year.

  • Pet a bunny

Bunnies are so darn cute, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who associates them with spring. Visit some farm where you can pet one and you’ll have tons of fun – they are so soft and sweet and relaxing!

  • Host a yard sale

Spring is the perfect time to do some cleaning and get rid of some of that junk you have. I bet you’ll find that a lot of the things gathering dust are actually good things you just don’t use anymore. So hold a yard sale, have fun with it, meet new people, and maybe reconnect with your neighbors.

  • Hang a bird feeder

Crafting is always fun, but with a bird feeder, you can craft and create something useful. How fun it will be to see the bird feeder actually host a little bird family! Or maybe a squirrel, like it happened with the one I made when I was a kid.

  • Try outdoor yoga

Yoga is always a wonderful, calming and useful practice, but doing it outside is a special treat. Try the park yoga for example – some fresh air will just add to the benefits of yoga.

  • Paint rocks

This is a new thing I learned about lately and I love this idea. Get some paint and let your imagination flow! I love that because all the rocks have their own unique shape, each one can give you the inspiration to create something special.

  • Wear floral print

Spring is all about the flowers, so why not bring flowers to your wardrobe as well. Go wild, go bright, or maybe try something pastel – whatever fits your style.

  • Go to a drive-in movie theater

Drive-in movie theaters always had such a romantic and magical feeling to me, and wouldn’t it be nice to finally leave the house and enjoy the movie outside?

There are so many creative and fun ways to design this spread, and I’m happy to share with you some absolutely incredible ones.

A cute bucket list with adorable little doodles. I love the handwriting – it’s so pretty that it is a decoration in itself.

This list is also full of great ideas you can include in yours.

25 Inspiring Spring Bucket List Ideas And Bullet Journal Pages (4)

One more cute list. With this one, I really like that each has a little check box you can use as you go through your list and do ALL the things.

I really love the idea of studying outside – with beautiful spring weather and nature waking up, it sounds like a wonderful thing to do! I might start doing some work on our rooftop terrace.

This is such a cool list and I love the mix between the stickers and my favorite Zebra Mildliners.

I also can’t recommend enough the Happy Planner stickers. I got a few packs last time I was in the USA and I absolutely loved using them. You definitely can see them in action on some of my memory keeping pages.

Ok, I have to be a little bit jealous of this list that actually has a boat trip on it. This is absolutely something I’d love to do.

Oh boats, sea, vacations – I do miss traveling!

A beautiful list from my friend Nicole.

Her doodles are always so perfect and I love the bucket lists because they allow her to doodle even more.

You can absolutely create a doodly list like that even if you’ve never done any doodling before. Just check my Beginner’s Guide To Doodling.

Beautiful and effective list with some cute doodles. I love that this is in form of a list, after all, it’s the best way to write things down.

Also just want to mention the pretty lettering on the header. I find that it’s always a great way to decorate a list type of page.

25 Inspiring Spring Bucket List Ideas And Bullet Journal Pages (9)

Such a happy and bright bucket list! I love the colors and the flowers, I think these really add to the positivity of the season.

It made me smile a lot to see that the artist included a walk on grass barefoot in this list. I remember when I was a kid and was spending the warm days in my grandparents’ countryside house, I used to run barefoot on the grass all the time.

25 Inspiring Spring Bucket List Ideas And Bullet Journal Pages (10)

This is not exactly a spring bucket list, but since spring break happens in spring, I think we can count it in.

I also must mention I really like people taking pictures of their spring bucket lists in front of greenery. After cold winters it feels so positive and refreshing to see all these green plants in the background.

25 Inspiring Spring Bucket List Ideas And Bullet Journal Pages (11)

I had to include this bucket list because it’s just so pretty! Full of pastel colors and happy quotes – it makes me smile and feel happy.

The list is hidden in the kraft paper pocket and seems to be pretty small, but that’s totally ok! Whatever works for her, pretty often, smaller lists can actually guarantee that you’ll do more of the things on the list.
