What You Need to Make DIY Pineapple Bath Salts:

NOTE: Please do not use any fragrance oils that are found by the candle making section, these are not skin-safe and can causing burning. You must use skin-safe oils.

How to Make DIY Pineapple Bath Salts:

First, paint the lids of your glass jars. Keep in mind, this will take several coats so I would paint a layer, allow to dry for a few minutes then painted another layer.

As your lids are drying, you can make the bath salts and other items.

Start by putting your epsom salt into a large bowl and then add your baking soda. Stir well.

Next, add a few drops of your fragrance oil and yellow colorant. Stir well. Keep in mind, it may take quite a bit of the yellow colorant to get the pineapple color you desire. Just keep adding and stirring until you achieve the color you want.

Now, it’s time to make the pineapple tops using the green felt paper.

Simply start by cutting out a jagged, zig-zag line.

Next, roll the piece until you reach the end then use hot glue to stick the roll together.

Now, gently pull on the top of the leaves so it gives it a more flared look like a pineapple.

Once your bath salt mixture is done and your jar tops have dried, it’s time to add the bath salts into the jar.

Scoop the bath salts into each jar and attach the green lid.

Now, take your black sharpie marker and draw all over the outside of the glass jar in a V shape. This will help give it that pineapple look.

Finally, attach the green felt to the top of the jar lid using hot glue and your adorable little pineapple bath salts are done!

Materials

  • 3 Cups Epsom Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
  • 5-6 Drops Yellow Food Color or Soap Colorant
  • 3-4 Drops Pina Colada Skin-Safe Fragrance
  • Green Acrylic Paint I used Festive Green
  • ½ Pint Glass Jar with Lid
  • Green Felt Paper that matches the paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Hot Glue
  • Black Sharpie Marker
  • Paper Towels Plate, etc. to lay painted items on
