When we are looking to get out of the city, one of our favorite places to go to is the East End of Long Island. But instead of battling the Hamptons or North Fork traffic, we opt to stay in Riverhead, where you will find the Hyatt Place East End.
What we love about this hotel is the location. You are right at the beginning of both wine country and the Hamptons so you can easily spend a day in the Hamptons followed by a day in the North Fok without switching hotels.
In the summer, you can enjoy the outdoor pool overlooking the docks. And if you are looking to stay put, there are restaurants and shops within a five-minute walk from the hotel so you do not have to go far if you do not want to.
The rooms are spacious, featuring high ceilings, sleeper sofabed, and did I mention free hot breakfast served daily in the common area?
